Daisies is a full-time early childhood education centre in Johnsonville. We have two buildings at 5 Earp Street (Te Purapura) and 3 Earp Street (Te Pihinga).

Daisies is licensed for 30 children aged 0 to 2 years at 5 Earp Street, and a further 30 children aged 2 to 6 years at 3 Earp Street. We are notable for our highly qualified and experienced teaching team, high teacher:child ratios, parent-friendly services and our vision to be a lighthouse of best practice for early childhood education.

We are also award winner for our Nature Explore programme and for our sustainable business practices, and we are accredited Enviroschools, Silver level. Our ERO reports notes that we are “Very Well Placed” to deliver high quality early childhood education and care.

The owners, Rachel Denee and Linda Meade, have placed strong emphasis on high quality teaching which is reflected in the teaching team, the environment and the learning programmes. You can connect with Daisies on Twitter, and Facebook to get important news, updates and child placements.

Our Patron, Dr Anne Meade, continues to be closely involved, bringing her wisdom from decades of experience as teacher, researcher, policy leader, professor and sought-after public speaker. Anne was recognised in 2018 with the Minister of Education’s Lifetime Award for Education Excellence.

Parents wanting to apply for placements please fill in the online waiting list application form.

Daisies' philosophy is to provide a loving, engaging and pleasing place of learning for babies and children, parents and teachers.

Our location and superior ratios enable regular excursions outside of the centre. Our cook provides nutritious meals every day and children's clothes are washed on site - all part of our aim to make life as simple as possible for busy families. Please refer to Information for Parents and our Enrolment Policies. You can also read our excellent ERO report on the Government Reports page.
